What is Adventure Bound Canoeing? We are not talking about your average canoe trip on your favorite pond. We are talking about getting out into the wild and having an adventure that happens to be in a canoe. There is no better place in the US to do this than on the Upper Missouri River Breaks near Fort Benton, Montana.
Years ago, we fell in love with the idea of taking people on canoe adventures on this Wild and Scenic River. And now it’s official: Adventure Bound Canoe and Missouri River Outfitters have been dating since 1990. We wanted to help people with their own boats who just need a shuttle, those wanting a day trip while visiting Fort Benton, or those who want the full deal—equipment, guides, food, tents and everything else that lets you enjoy the great outdoors. There are not many places left where you can walk (and paddle) in footsteps of Lewis and Clark and see the land just as they saw it. Going further back, this river and the land it flows through was a major corridor for Native Americans of various tribes as well. So if you are seeking an authentic canoe adventure, you won’t be disappointed.
